Honoring Mother Earth
with Cantabile (grades 4-6 singers) from
Angelica Cantanti Youth Choirs!
Sat., May 20 | 7 pm | Community of the Cross Lutheran Church
Sun., May 21 | 3 pm | Good Samaritan United Methodist Church
“The Earth is our Mother, we must take care of her.
Ancient Mother, I hear you calling.”
~ Native American chant texts
The choir’s song selections will lead us on a journey that will celebrate the beauty and sacredness of our Earth while acknowledging its fragility. The concert theme will underscore the importance of passing down the caretaking and stewardship of Mother Earth from one generation to the next.
Two premieres of Minnesota composers will be featured – a new SSAA arrangement of Navajo Blessing by J. David Moore and a new piece from Catherine Dalton – Praise Gaia.
Suggested goodwill donation of $20 at the door.
